&quot;my ability to burn fat as fuel is terrible&quot; - I know it sounds crazy, but run slower on your long runs keeping your HR lower, and less gels, will force your body to burn more fat energy.  Not very fun at first, but your body will adjust over time.  Works great for ultra training, and amazing how your body learns to go for the fat energy.</description>

When it is not too hot I also use the compression socks but I will not wear them during the marathon because my legs must be as light as possible. The distance is long and I cannot risk that, at one moment, they don&#039;t fit anymore: it could happen.
