I am glad that you are improving and you can run/swim/bike.
I love the sport outdoor but I think that if I had to ride I must use the trainer for the reasons you wrote and because my wife is scared if I go out on the road.

Glad to hear you are on the mend, Beth! That is awesome. And wow, what a warm weekend it was. Absolutely crazy for this early in the season.

I hope your training continues to go well. All the best!

So glad to hear that your hip and back are continuing to improve! Sometimes those things tend to "nag" you for awhile and pop back up - seemingly unannounced. Take care of them.
The weather has been unbelievable - almost surreal. There are always days, in the winter months that are warm and sunny and you open the windows to let in some of the warm air - but then close them in the late afternoon cause it is too cold. Nope not this week. I take my screens off of all my windows during winter - but pulled them out this week - without cleaning them and put many of them in. There are windows open in every room and they stay open all night long. I also turned our furnace off. I just checked the thermomiter and it is 68 in the house, which is what we have the furnace set to in the morning. (FYI - I work for a gas and electric utility and can only imagine what our gas sales will be like for the month of March!)
It is great waking up to the birds chirping, the geese honking and the sandhill cranes trumpet call!
Who knows what April will hold for the midwest . . . but we are certainly enjoying March!
Hope you have good runs, swims and rides. I just got done with my coffee and oatmeal w/fruit and will be heading out the door for a 7 mile run (2 miles with Sophie and then 5 alone) . . . got to get out there before it gets too hot!!!! ;-)
