Have a fun race, I'm excited for you!
I have eyes that are getting worse and worse. I just bought some running/sunglasses/reading glasses all in one and I can't wait for them to get here. I have a tough time seeing my Garmin when I'm running. Ugh, aging!
Have a wonderful weekend!

I know when i had lasik they tried to convince me to get one cut for distance and one for reading. I declined. I never mind wearing glasses when reading but hated when active, and I wanted the best vision when active, not one good near and one far. I learned needing reading glasses is a sign of aging we can never run from. I hope you find contact a good option for you, but i sure do not miss them...

As for the PF, I had it 17 years ago and only found shots did the trick. A few years ago, it was time off and yoga... Good luck!

Hope your new multi-focal contacts work out! I wear daily-wear contacts and occasionally use my reading glasses (1.25 power, maybe).

I hope you have a great 10 mile race! I've never raced in one like that. Should be fun!

I also have exteded wear contacts - love them! Good luck with the foot doctor - I think we are near the same age and we aren't old, but I feel like I am falling apart lately.

GOod luck at the race - it sounds like a blast!

Way to try and ditch the orthotics! At some point this summer I'll buy a pair of Vibram's and start trying to get a little more basic with the shoes, at least for short runs.

Okay, you caught me. The REAL reason I have so many dang pairs of glasses is that I lose them all the time. Then I find them. Then I lose them. Then I find them.

And so it goes.

GREAT job on your running so far this spring!

You are a long way from geezer island.

Ha...contacts are best.

I am keeping my fingers crossed for you...hope you are able to continue running without pain. I am still reading Born to Run...and while I am enjoying it, I am now totally confused...and second guessing everything I've been told about running shoes.
Good luck for the race!!!
