Even here in California, I obsess over the weather. I have a wireless thermometer in my bathroom, so that I know how to dress for my morning run. And I check the hourly report on weather.com the night before.

Good luck with your 20 miler on Thursday! Sounds like the weather will be on your side.

Weather in this part of the country is so fascinating because it is so extreme. I ran a race in Green Bay a few years ago a week before Memorial Day and they had a frost advisory! I learned a valuable lesson that could be applied to future races; prepare for any kind of weather! :)

I love knowing what the weather 'should be' when I'm planning to run. I can't believe it was in the 30's when I ran early this morning - with XC ski pants and jacket. Now it's in the 60's.... Night and day. I rely on the NWS site especially in the winter when winchills can be dangerous. I'm glad you are finding that site useful.
--Mark
